She enjoys helping and encouraging others to pursue their dreams. That is why, through her passion for helping people, she served as a volunteer at the Jewish Relief Agency in Philadelphia by delivering groceries to families in need.

She currently works in research for a non-profit healthcare organization in Philadelphia and loves her profession's challenges.

In the I Belong group, she is a voice for the Asian community and always brings an optimistic perspective for the I Belong group. She is also a member of the Advisory Council and a volunteer for the English conversation circle at the @welcomingcenter.

She has a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She speaks 4 different languages; Berber, French, Arabic, and English.
Amel graduated from the 6th cohort of the Immigrant Leadership institute at the Welcoming Center for New Pennsylvanians and become part of a group that created the Philadelphia Immigrant Networking project. A platform that shares immigrant’s stories, information while connecting immigrants together.
